We are associated to EAFN whose aims are principally to develop sustainable farming by linking it into European standard food processing facilities and into the supply chain to Europe as follows.

The objective is to bring to East Africa the experience and knowledge of the European market with the intention of developing a reliable supply chain between the two regions using the knowledge of personnel who have been involved in the European market for many years.

In order to achieve the above, the expertise required to control the production both in terms of quality and consistency demanded by the European market will be brought to the region where small production operations will be developed to acceptable standards; fully trained food technologies and quality controllers will be employed to both initiate the required standards and then to monitor them.

A central hub will then be set up through which all products will pass for final repacking and quality inspection to ensure consistent supply to Europe; this hub will be operated at BRC standards.

A small farming operations will be set up to demonstrate to small growers how to supply raw materials to a consistently acceptable standard to the processing plants and funds will be sought to assist these growers in their quest to become long term suppliers to the chain.

The expertise taken to the region will be European but in all cases the employees will be local residents. Over a period of a few years the target is to train and then promote local personnel to senior roles with the intention of leaving them with a fully integrated supply chain into Europe managed by themselves with a market that has had the opportunity to build confidence in that chain‘s ability to be a long term sustainable and reliable supplier.

The operations will be run on commercial principals as that is considered the only way to develop genuine sustainability and the majority of profits will be:
a. Either re-invested into the project
b. Injected into sustainable local infra-structure projects such as water supply or
c. Injected into child development for the deprived.
